Artist's Comments

As you can see, I really took some liberties with the characters in this, especially the Dad. Most notably I chose not to refrence the movie version of his armor because I prefer the grave version. It's more realistic and threatening and closer to the look I was going for.

I really need to learn to use more references. This took forever it seems. Anyway, I hope you have as much fun looking at it as I did painting it.

O.O...Wow! That's amazing! I love how you did Taishou and Inu and Sessho, it's realistic...but not. I love it! :+fav:

Woo! Inuyasha, though I'm not such a crazy fan, this is a painting worth lots, and lots of recognition. It's really amazing. It's also a really kewl, realistic take on the characters. Kudos fer' you!!!

This is absolutely brilliant....I can't tell you how much I love this piece. The style alone is just fantastic...looks almost like oils. And the texture of the hair makes it seem like you could reach out and touch it. A definite fav. :D

I'm usually not a big fan of the anime art on dA, but I did like this show(though I did see the whole series or the movie), and there is something about the style of painting on this that I really love. The sort of thick feathery, plentiful loose details on this are awesome, it gives a strong sense of movement to the piece, and I'm just waiting for them to collide. The background seems a little dull and unfitting, not matching the style I mean, but the characters are excellent. Very cool piece.

This is amazing!!! The style is something i love, like, realistic, but so soft and swishy. And loving the characters as well ;) Always an IY fan... a +fav, this is.... amazing..
